ISPU’s 2017 annual survey found that 42% of Muslim families report that their children have been bullied because of their religion—that’s four times the rate of the general public. As educators, one of the most important things you can do is foster a safe learning environment for all students, regardless of their religious background.
Join ISPU and ING MidWest at an event for educators and mental health advocates that aims to help you do just that. Our expert speakers will discuss the role of education organizations in preventing religious-based bullying, the connection between mental health and bullying, and policies and practices that work to create safe schools.
Doors open at 4:15 p.m. The program will run from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and will be followed by refreshments and networking with the speakers until 6:30 p.m.
