Planned Giving
Planned giving is for donors who think about the future strategically. The Jane Gaffney Reimaging the Peoples of the Middle East Fund will sponsor ISPU research and outreach on media representations and popular perceptions of people of Middle Eastern and North African descent to support well-informed dialogue and decision-making, in honor of Jane Gaffney. Venmo
Did you know Venmo was co-created by a Muslim American, Iqram Magdon-Ismail, with his freshman year roommate at the University of Pennsylvania? They wanted to tip a band who was playing downstairs but didn’t feel like walking back down to give them cash. Instead, they wished they could send money through their phones and with that, the idea of Venmo was created.
You can give a zakat-eligible donation to ISPU on Venmo @theISPU under the app’s “charities” section.
Cryptocurrency
Giving to ISPU is easier than ever with gifts of cryptocurrency! When you donate cryptocurrency to us, your coins are transferred to fiat, which will help us produce transformative research to achieve a future where American Muslims are thriving and equal.
Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax-efficient ways to support your favorite cause.
All cryptocurrency donations made via The Giving Block are nonrefundable. When we receive your donation, it is understood that this is made to support our mission—and we are grateful for your support.

Vehicle Donation Program
You can now donate your used vehicle to ISPU! Donations are accepted seven days a week, 24 hours a day. It is as easy as filling out this online donation form. Alternatively, you can call (855) 527-2232 to speak with a representative who will be happy to take your donation over the phone. Call hours are 8am-7pm M-Th, 8am-5pm F, and 9am-4pm Sat (EST).
This program accepts car, van, truck, motorcycle, boat with a trailer, recreational vehicle, etc, regardless of age and condition!
Double the impact of your gift to ISPU by asking if your employer has a matching gift program, donating a sum equal to whatever you raise or donate. This is a great way to leverage your donation and potentially introduce others to ISPU’s work! You can use the tool below to see if your company will match your donation.
