In an effort to educate the public on the American Muslim community, ISPU launched the Muslims for American Progress (MAP) project to quantify the contributions of Muslims in the state of Michigan, pairing hard facts with human faces. On Thursday, June 15, spend an evening with several of the individuals profiled in the MAP project. This interactive open discussion panel will include Imam Saleem Khalid, Rahaf Khatib, Leon EL-Alamin, Zarinah El-Amin Naeem, and Timothy Abdul-Matin, as well as our portrait photographer, Marisol Dorantes.
In addition, photos and narratives from the MAP project will be on display at Bank Suey on:
– June 10, 1–6 p.m.
– June 15, 6–8:30 p.m.
– June 17, 2–7 p.m.
– June 24, 2–7 p.m.
The portraits will also be available for viewing during other public events at Bank Suey from June 10–24. Visit www.banksuey.com for details.
