Restrictions on Civil Liberties, Views of Islam, & Muslim Americans

reports :: 2919

The following report was conducted by the Media & Society Research Group at Cornell University. The survey which hopes to determine how much the public fears terrorism, found that half of respondents polled nationally said they believe the U.S. government should -- in some way -- curtail civil liberties for Muslim Americans. The study also examined the relation of religiosity to perceptions of Islam and Islamic countries among Christian respondents.
