The ISPU Research Committee is currently accepting proposals for
any project that falls within ISPU’s mission. Details about
submission and proposal guidelines can be obtained by contacting
our Director of Research Farid Senzai at
research@ispu.org.
In general, all proposals must include the following information:
- Brief description
of the project
- Describe your previous research on this topic
- A proposed budget
- Provide timeline of project
- Describe venues to present/publish
- Provide a CV for all authors

This is an ideal opportunity for young new researchers as well
as established scholars to obtain logistical, material and financial
support for projects they wish to pursue. We encourage potential
candidates to contact us for help in developing a sound proposal.
The following areas of research will receive a high priority for
review:
Impact
of schools and curriculums upon child development. In particular,
comparative studies of parochial, private secular, and public school
systems.
Muslim
and Arab American views on domestic policy issues (economy, elections,
health, education, environment)
Studies
on mental health and health care within the Arab, South Asian and
Muslim community
Studies
on immigration patterns and experiences since September 11th, 2001
Studies
of social policy issues within the Muslim and Arab American community
Issues
and challenges which Muslim and other specific communities expect
to face over the next 50 years. The development of a long-term road
map for the American Muslim community
